Session #61: A Ghost Story

[written by Max, who ran the game 6 November, focusing on the expedition of Sylvaine and accompanying adventurers into the ruins of Tsur al Qadim to seek some haunted house ... Thanks Max!]

For the past couple weeks a foreign woman by the name of Sylvaine Toussaint has been seeking adventurers to assist her exploration of an old house of the lost Durst family. Rumors abounded of her fair complexion, golden hair, and brilliant blue eyes. Recently it was seen by patrons of the Kantor Kabljauhof (where she has been residing) that a group gathered around her to discuss her expedition. They left shortly thereafter, some of the group muttering about needing silvered weapons, and exited the city by way of the Pallbearers' Way toward the ruins of Tsur al Qadim.

  • Sesel the Voice (fighting-man 6)

accompanied by Radoen (magic-user 4)

  • Durham (fighting-man 7)

accompanied by Pako (renyu)

  • Gan ad-Din (fighting man 5)
  • Revna (magic-user 5)
  • Najm (magic-user 5)

accompanied by May (fighting-woman 1)

  • Sylvaine Toussaint (magic-user ?)

The group would later that afternoon show up outside the Crag Keep in the north of the ruins of old Tsur, bearing news for Lord Althis of possible cultists and a large undead creature lurking in the ruins, before returning to Cothon-Gadeed. Those that spotted the group's return would note that the party seemed rather worn down.

Any gold-valued item a party-member wishes to claim may be "bought out" by subtracting its value from their share of gold (up to and including their own funds, if necessary to equal its listed value); non-valued items must be meted out by the company's agreement, according to negotiations and what seems fair.

And as always, any write-ups, artwork, etc. representing the expedition from an in-character point-of-view will earn the corresponding player-character 100 xp per level.

[the Scribes also note that there was quite a lot of material recovered during this expedition that will require some time for player-characters to pore over or research; not only through finding the right buyer, but also in seeing just what all those books are actually about]
