(written by Jacob, who refereed the session)
Rumors and stories abound in the Dual-Cities of a strange yellow sun, and bizarre Facility. The Bani Dawr having put out a call of adventure seeking those barbarians of Cothon who might better fare against whatever strangeness exists within this alien place.
The promises of exploration and oddity drawing a larger group than normal to the Processional Gate. Indeed, beyond those already well known to the adventurers of Cothon, a newcomer, calling himself “Kzin-Friend” joins with the others, obviously intent to explore and learn about this strange place.
At the Processional Gate the group was met by a representative of the Bani Dawr, seemingly equally eager to explore such a place, and wearing the leathers of someone familiar enough with adventuring. She guided the group through to Gadeed, that they might meet with the Mistress of House Dawr, and be intrigued enough to proceed into this facility.
A short time later several members of the group return through the Processional Gate, breaking up and heading to the various taverns seeking their various hangers-on and hirelings. Ultimately they reconvene at the Processional Gate and make their way back to Gadeed. Perhaps to leave Gadeed from some other route to reach the Facility?
In total, the group that set forth into Gadeed in search of the facility:
Ravna (Magic User 4)
June (Magic User 5)
Durham (Fighting Man 5)
Accompanied by Pako (renyu)Bartholomew (Magic User 5)
Accompanied by Ishna (Magic User 1)Haijo (Magic User 4)
Kzin-Friend (Magic User 1)
Accompanied by Zero Zed (likely lad)
Late into the afternoon a group returns from the same Processional Gate, looking tired and lacking some of their party, though others were outfitted in strange looking armor and carrying large odd-looking metal staves. In particular, both the new Kzin-Friend and his companion are nowhere to be seen. And yet, the group doesn’t seem to be in particularly bad spirits, despite their tiredness, and missing companions. In fact, it is gleaned, during some drinks, that perhaps their companions are yet to be recovered, for while they fell in battle their bodies mysteriously vanished!
Ishna, receiving enough wealth to carouse, and wanting to be further accepted into the adventuring fellows, did venture into Cothon with the group, taking some of her wealth and carousing about the taverns. While she does hold her liquor fairly well, she does let out some of what occurred. Especially that of a strange hole in the sky, and an eerie encounter with melted faced humans that seemed to be under some sort of trance, causing them to repeat the same motions and sounds over and over.
