The Survivors of the Tel were interested in returning either to push further into the Sixth House, or to return to Dalan's Crypt per the interests of Lady Khadra al Qamari; calling for fellow adventurers to join them at Cothon-Under-Star, however, they found the answering underwhelming--for one thing, Ix and her interest in the crypts have skipped town with the other Free Klackons, cutting into the fighting-potential of the potential company, while otherwise the Survivors didn't feel like the number that arrived promised enough success in the Sixth House ...
So instead, it was agreed that the company would indeed turn to the Necropolis in the Colossian Temenos, but that they would seek out the tombs the Survivors originally escaped from (what seems so long ago), rather than descending into Dalan's tombs.
Amongst the company that gathered was a new barbarian-adventurer--a real barbarian, a blonde bare-chested fellow in fur loincloth, two-hand sword slung across his back, and with a necklace of what seems to be fangs, and a belt with tufts of fur presumed to be from slain beasts ... This Lars Fangripper proved to be a magic-using type, as once the company had agreed on their goal, he set out into the street, scraped a circle in the dust, and painted himself with blue (and other?) dyes in strange symbols presaging the magic that his chants could ultimately call up.
So the company set out:
- Avin (magic-user 5)
accompanied by Vlana the Bard (magic-user 3) and Stark (fighting-man 1) - Lars Fangripper (magic-user 1)
- Sesel (fighting-man 5)
accompanied by fresh-faced apprentice Raoden (magic-user 1) - Ravna (magic-user 4)
The party set out by the Gate of Mourners to seek the Necropolis; the same group returned some hours later, stinking to the Broken Moon of rot and decay. Lars was seen to carry a number of sekeker bodies double-wrapped in sacks so that their poisoned-quills couldn't pierce through; meanwhile, the party went to fence the couple items they purloined from the necropolis;
As to the scent, Vlana mentions the classically relevant kurgha, eaters-of-the-dead cursed by carrying the stench of the dead. They were able to defeat a colony of sekekers and of kurgha both with the strange psychical powers of Sesel and Ravna ...
