Raoden's Histories Part III: Ancient Burial Rites

[written by Jacob, player of Raoden about an expedition in December, and earning him 100 xp per level]

Ancient Burial Rites and Procedures Part 1

During our most recent expedition we investigated a place within the Ocean’s Throat, haunted by strange wraiths that could drive a person mad at a mere contact! But this log is relating instead to histories, and indeed this place has significant histories. For this seems to be the resting place of ancient Denwa warriors.

Statues outside the tomb show us the great leaders of these warriors: Tahiru-Taya, soldier-General; Ismehana master-tradesmen turned King; and Zalkyrie, their Queen. We also see here murals of great battles and raids set upon the walls, all leading back to the main doors moving deeper into the structure.

Further investigations revealed through murals the processes by which these warriors were prepared for their long interment. They were carried, with honours, through the halls depicting battles and great victories, down to a step-well. Here they were purified in the waters, before ultimately making their way deeper into the fortress-tombs.

Alas, we did not investigate much further, and so this log will remain incomplete for the time being.
